Since the 1980s, our founder has dedicated himself to the jewelry manufacturing industry, amassing over a decade of invaluable experience. Starting as a humble apprentice, he evolved into a skilled professional goldsmith. In 1998, following the financial crisis, our founder courageously established a small family-owned factory. Despite encountering numerous challenges and setbacks, Wakin Gold persevered, gradually earning the trust and recognition of distributors, jewelry stores, and international traders worldwide.

To meet rising demand, we have shifted our production line to our Butterworth, Penang manufacturing plant. Utilizing cutting-edge technology and equipment sourced globally, we ensure the ongoing provision of top-notch products to our customers. Despite the possibility of full automation through machinery, we maintain the artistry of handcrafting gold jewelry. Our manual expertise remains unmatched by machines. Thus, we marry modern machinery with traditional craftsmanship to produce the finest quality gold jewelry.

Drawing on our professional expertise in solid chain manufacturing, we applied and refined these techniques for hollow chain production. Through continuous improvement in design, structure, and production processes, we developed hollow chains that are lightweight yet wide in appearance. We further extended these capabilities by applying three-colour plating to hollow chains, drawing from established solid chain techniques.
Over the years, Wakin Gold has steadily expanded its range of products and designs, working closely with a growing network of retailers. In our early years, we focused exclusively on solid gold chains. As consumer preferences evolved toward lighter and more comfortable jewelry, we adapted accordingly.
We continue to grow through ongoing development. From our beginnings as a manufacturing-focused operation, we have broadened our scope to include wholesale distribution and established a R&D team to support the creation of designs aligned with evolving market preferences. In addition, we operate an in-house refining and recycling process, ensuring sustainability while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
